Battle Ropes

Battle ropes are a simple and useful workout tool. They are thick, heavy ropes that are tied or anchored in place and can be used in a range of exercises. You can train the muscles in both arms, chest, legs, back and core, depending on your routine.

‘Alternating waves’ are a popular HIIT exercise were you keep moving as quickly and rhythmically as possible, while maintaining good posture.

  • Hold a rope in each hand, palm facing in.
  • Lean forward slightly with your knees bent.
  • Create an alternating wave pattern by starting with one rope moving up and down, while doing the opposite movement with the other rope.
  • Alternate the waves continuously at speed to keep the wave flowing down the rope.
